Primalanzac Slice β A Grain-Free Flapjack Alternative
Apr 25, 2025
If you love a good slice or bar as much as I do, you're going to adore this one. I’ve always loved flapjack — that golden, chewy slice made with oats and syrup. But when you're avoiding grains and refined sugars, finding a satisfying alternative can be a bit tricky!
That’s where this little beauty comes in. The Primalanzac Slice has all the delicious chewy sweetness you’re craving, but without the oats, grains, or gluten. It's made with a blend of coconut, almond meal, and tapioca flour, naturally sweetened with coconut sugar and maple syrup — real food ingredients that you probably already have in your pantry.
Special thanks to Primalista Chicken in WA π©π³ who baked up a gorgeous batch recently and sent through some drool-worthy photos!
The recipe is super simple — just measure, mix, and bake. That’s the Primal Alternative kind of baking!
