Back on Up for a Chat: Reflecting on the Journey of Primal Alternative

Up For A Chat Podcast

Back in 2018, I had the absolute honour of being invited onto the Up for a Chat podcast with Cyndi O'Meara and Kim Morrison for the very first time. Episode here.

I met Cyndi at the Wellness Summit and she tasted our Low Carb Seed Loaf - loved it and said "I want you on my podcast!"

Fast forward to 2024, and I was lucky enough to be invited back again for a second conversation, and it honestly felt like coming full circle.

I’m so grateful to Cindy, Kim and the whole The Wellness Couch family because they have supported Primal Alternative right from day dot.

Over the years they’ve shared our products, spoken about our mission, encouraged their audience to check us out, and helped spread the word about grain-free, real food alternatives in a really genuine way.

As a result of that support, we’ve had some absolutely wonderful Primalistas join us after first hearing about Primal Alternative through Up for a Chat and the wider wellness community around Cindy and Kim.

And I think that says something really important about the Primalista Licence too.

When people join Primal Alternative, they’re not starting from scratch with an unknown brand. They’re joining something that has built real trust and credibility over more than a decade. We’ve been fortunate to stand alongside incredible people in the health and wellness space who genuinely care about food, health and community.

That support has meant the world to me.

In this episode, we chatted about my own health journey, how Primal Alternative began, why grain-free living became such a pivotal part of my healing, and how the business evolved into a national network of home bakers helping their own communities access better food.

We also talked about the heart behind the business model and why so many women are looking for a way to create meaningful income from home, on their own terms.

A few moments from the episode that really stood out to me:

  • “My hubby said we are not going paleo without cookies.”
  • “There is a lack of really honest food out there. We wanted to be the antidote.”
  • “I’m helping home bakers become business owners.”
  • “Many Primalistas have been on their own healing journey.”
  • “Being able to make changes in people’s lives is such a gift.”
  • “The reason this brand has done so well is we have been able to stand on the shoulders of giants.”

I hope you enjoy the episode as much as I enjoyed recording it.
