Recipe: Simple Paleo Salad Dressings

Assorted homemade Paleo salad dressings in glass jars, ready to elevate your salads.


Option 1 - Basic Dressing:
- Extra-virgin olive oil (locally sourced if possible)
- Balsamic vinegar

Option 2 - French Dressing:
- 1-2 cloves of garlic, minced or grated
- 1 to 2 teaspoons of honey
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 50g freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 50g apple cider vinegar
- 90g extra-virgin olive oil

Option 1 - Basic Dressing:
1. In a small bowl or jar, combine extra-virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The ratio can vary depending on your taste preference, but a common starting point is 3 parts olive oil to 1 part balsamic vinegar. Adjust the quantities to suit your taste.
2. Give the mixture a quick shake or stir until well combined.
3. Pour the dressing over your salad or drizzle the olive oil and balsamic vinegar individually.

Option 2 - French Dressing:
1. In a small bowl or jar, combine minced or grated garlic, honey, salt, pepper, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, and extra-virgin olive oil.
2. Stir or shake vigorously until all the ingredients are well combined.
3. Taste and adjust the seasoning according to your preference by adding more salt, pepper, or honey if desired.
4. Serve the dressing by tossing it through your salad of choice.

Note: Both dressings can be stored in the refrigerator for up to four weeks. Remember to give them a good shake or stir before using, as the ingredients may separate over time. Enjoy the simple and flavourful Paleo salad dressings to elevate the taste of your favourite salads.
